Team Korea continues medal run with bronze in badminton

Team Korea’s medal run from the day 12 carries
on to day 13, as Korea wins bronze in the women’s doubles Thursday morning. Taekwondo star Lee Dae-hoon will also be looking
to Kwon Jang-ho has this report. Team Korea started off Thursday morning, with
how they ended Wednesday night, by winning another medal. Badminton double’s pair Jung Kyung-eun and
Shin Seung-chan defeated their Chinese opponents in straight sets to claim bronze. Now they are proud holders of Korea’s only
medal in badminton at these Olympics, after all others were shut out. Meanwhile, Taekwondo poster-boy Lee Dae-hoon
is through to the quarterfinals of the men’s 68-kilo contest, after his opponent withdrew
in the first round due to injury. World number-one Lee will be looking to emulate
his gold-medal winning teammate, Kim So-hui, and carry on Korea’s medal rush in the Taekwondo. Korea’s women golfers are also looking to
carry on the good momentum from round 1. Hall-of-Famer Park Inbee and Kim Sei-young
were tied for second at the beginning of the day, with a score of minus-5. Yang Hee-young had a disappointing round of
plus-2, but has now put herself back in contention 5 birdies at the start of Round 2, and she
goes into the back nine with a score of minus-3. Chun In-gee also starts Round 2 with a solid
