My name is Josh Fisher, I’m the director of
golf for the Refuge Golf Club in Oakgrove, Minnesota. We’ll talk about hole number nine
today, which is the number one handicap hole at the Refuge. It’s a par five that is all carry from the back four tee boxes over a marshland. Your second shot on this hole should favor
the right side of the fairway to approach the green and avoid the bunker complex around the green. It is a good hole for all ability levels, as it can be reached in two for the longer hitters and it is also a fairly easy hole for the shorter hitters that will play it as a three shot hole. The green complex is very well bunkered and it is a very undulating green, which proves difficult to putt for birdie, par or bogey.
