Golf Club Review | TaylorMade TP MB, MC, CB Irons

Hi everybody Donal here from Golfbidder.
We’ve come to Orlando Florida to The PGA Show. The world’s biggest show in golf.
All the major manufacturers are here. We’re going to make our way round the range
to bring you the very best, the very latest of what available in the golf world.
So check out all our videos on Golfbidder. Hi everybody Donal from Golfbidder here at
The PGA show in Orlando. We’re at the TaylorMade stand looking at what’s
new in irons for the better players in 2011. Jarrod you’re with me.
How you doing? Good, good.
Thanks a million. Jarrod. Tell us what’s new for the better
player in 2011 in TaylorMade irons? You’ve got 3 models in the Tour Preferred
series. Give you this one first of all.
Ok starting off with your MBs, your muscle backs.
This is obviously for your very low handicapper. The biggest thing we did here, you know you
have your 6-step forging process, 1025 carbon steel.
But what really sets this apart is the precision weight port in the back.
So typically in a forging process, i’m not sure how arawr your viewers are?
No matter how tight the quality control is at manufacturer, in order to get the swing
weights correct you have to put weight plugs in the hosel.
Ok it might only be a few grams here and there. What that does is naturally pull the centre
of gravity from the middle to wards the heel of the club.
We wanted to avoid doing that so instead of putting weight in the hosel to make sure we
get the swing weights correct we gave you this precision weight port here.
This is not only going to give you very precise swing weights, it’s going to keep the centre
of gravity right in the middle of the club, right where you want it to be.
Excellent. So there are obviously aimed at the better
players, the Tour Preferred version. Tell us what offset there is. There seems
to be very little? Very little offset, thin top-line.
Again this is your more aggressive club. You’re looking at optimum workability and
feel against forgiveness. Excellent. So let’s move on.
Next tell us about the Cbs. Actually we’ll go to the MC here.
Alright. Your MC again is fully forged, ok, but now
you have a little bit of a cavity in here. This is your muscle cavity even though it’s
fully forged. The same principals apply with the precision
weight port, and how that helps you. But again this is going to give you a little
bit more offset and a little bit thicker top line for a little bit more forgiveness.
So a little bit higher handicapper we’re looking at there for those who want a little bit more
forgiveness. And finally, your CB is something different.
What this is, is a, this is a cast head welded with a forged face.
So you get the feel of the forged with the forgiveness of the cast.
Again a little bit more offset and a little bit thicker top-line is going to give you
a little bit more forgiveness for your higher handicapper.
Absolutely fantastic looking clubs. And the shafts Jarrod?
Your stock shaft is a Dynamic Golf S300 for your better player.
And in the CB is the Dynamic Gold XP. About 5 grams lighter, built to get the ball
up in the air which coincides nicely with the fact that this is going to be a little
bit higher handicapper club. Absolutely fantastic.
Well thanks a million for telling us what’s new with TaylorMade for 2011.
Hopefully in 2012 we’ll see you out here again. Alright, thanks very much.
