Five Of The Best Drivers For Under £200 – January 2018

It’s 2018 and already we are being barraged
by blurb , seduced by slots and tempted by Twist Faces Bars and Braces but hang on a
minute here. Didn’t they say the same last year? And the year before? Yes you are
correct. They did! But the clever among you know the marketing is to get you to buy the
new stuff and the even cleverer among you know the best equipment, for the best price,
is the 12 to 18 month released equipment. So I’ll make you a bet. If you can find me
6 new drivers in 2018 better than these six that I’ll show you now and are all now under
200 on Golfbidder, I’ll eat my hat. Because you simply wont beat these. First there’s the original M1 driver, one
of the most successful and winning-most ever on Tour with its now iconic Carbon crown and
livery, T-track adjustable weights and loft sleeve. It was too good to be true when it
was released. And still is! Or the original M2, also loved on Tour, but
without the weight tracks..for those (like me) who trust the engineers to set the dial
up to max for CG location and distance. The new M4 is this original M2 with lipstick on. If youre a Callaway fan, then the XR16
with its big bruising head and R-moto face comes in well under the 200 mark and this
is a great club. You know why? Because two famous people used it and loved it. The first
is Joe Miller, who used an XR16 to win the Long Drive World Championship. The second
is me, with whom the XR16 became the first and only driver ever to hit a ball over the
tree at the end of my club’s driving range!! Then there’s the Ping G series driver that
just laid its cards on the table when it came to forgiveness and distance with its titanium
crown, low back weighting and it looked pretty darn cool with its turbulators. Whatever they
were forI cant remember!!! What I can remember is that Ping struck gold with their Anser
driver about 5 years back and the G25, G30, this G series have the tech that hasn’t been
bettered since. What about the Srixon Z 765 driver? You can
get that for under 200 too. Any time we’ve brought Srixon drivers like the Z765 and Z565
to the range for a ballistics session alongside the TaylorMade and Callaway’s it has matched
them blow for blow. The titanium wrap under face looks amazing the ball and in an age
where drivers are straight and blunt, these were really workable. And those Srixons come
with quality Miyazaki shafts too! Better players after a bargain, make sure to search for those!! And last but not least there’s the Titleist
915 driver. Beautiful, classy, black gloss, pear shaped, 460cc you know its a Titleist
from a mile off. The 915 features the sole channel that allows the face to flex for distance
and was successful in the bags of Jordan Spieth and Justin Thomas. And you’ll have change
from your 200 quid for a couple of boxes of Pro-V1’s! A thing of beauty. So there you have it, there’s just six top
quality drivers for under 200. Check them all out on Told you I wouldn’t
be eating my hat!!
