Callaway X Hot Driver / Review, Features and Benefits / 2013 PGA Show Demo Day

all right we’re we’re out here on the rage at the PGA Show 2013 and I’ve got Luke here with me Luke sorry for keeping you from your dinner first of all but this is the X hot driver new for 2013 tell us all about it now what’s new this year yeah we’re really excited about this product it’s it’s a new all titanium driver for us that’s something we haven’t had for a little while so we’re excited about that we know there are certain golfers out there that just like the look and or the sound in the field of titanium so we’re excited to have that this driver comes in two flavors there’s a standard in a pro model the standard models a little bit bigger than the pro it’s 460 CCS it’s got they both have this matte grey crown but the standard model has some crown decals that the pro model doesn’t the pro model what size is the head in the pro model pro models 435 it’s got a little deeper face and a little smaller smaller footprint as you look down on it talk to us a bit about adjustability on the excise yeah they both feature the hosel adjustability that we introduced last year on razor fit so that allows you to set your face angle so it’ll come square you can from there you can open it up and when you open it up you’re also taking a little bit of loft off so that will flatten out the trajectory for some and then you can close it as well that’ll help you know if you tend to miss the ball right closing the face will help with that and it also makes it a little bit easier to get up in the air okay now I go out and I buy a 9 and a half degree loft X hot driver what can I adjust this loft wise to so when you go if you take a 9-5 and you open up the face you’re taking about a degree of loft off of the club so if if you deliver the club back with the face more open you’ll see one degree less loft on your trajectory and when you close it conversely you’re adding a degree of loft so some of thats player dependent because some players will re square the club no matter how they send it and then if they do that then they’ll see big they’ll see differences in trajectory but if when you close the face you deliver it more close then you’ll see more of a lateral difference in the trajectory ok last word on the shaft what’s new in the shaft for 2013 yeah so in this line we’ve got AB new shaft from project X it’s a project X velocity in the regular version it’s a shaft that they made for us a version they made for us that’s a little bit softer and enlight or then the true aftermarket shaft in the pro model we have the true aftermarket so the pro model comes with the project X flex designation five five six zero six five the standard comes with a red X and more of the traditional a R and s flexes Luke fantastic absolutely brilliant as the XR driver new for 2013 from Callaway
