Best Golf Courses in Colorado | Best Golf Courses in Denver

What’s up friends! Today on Tuesdays with Taylor we’re going to be talking about golf courses, some of the best public and
private ones in Colorado, as well as the best places and teachers to get lessons
with. That’s coming up, right after this! I’m Taylor Osieczanek, a Colorado native
and real estate advisor here in the Denver metro area. This week on Tuesdays with Taylor we’re talking golf so let’s jump right in. First up in my list of top
golf courses in Colorado is actually two golf courses and those are Legacy Ridge
and Walnut Creek formerly known as the Heritage at Westmoor.
They’re both City of Westminster courses and they’re almost always in pristine
condition. They both also host big events throughout the year, most notably the U.S.
Open local qualifier at Walnut Creek and Legacy Ridge hosts a pair of Colorado
Open qualifiers during the year. They’re both outstanding courses and I recommend them very highly. Next up is Green Valley Ranch in Denver.
Green Valley Ranch hosts the Colorado men’s, women’s and senior opens every
year. It’s an extremely challenging layout but it’s also an extremely fun
layout. The 18th hole might be my favorite hole in all of Colorado.
Another thing that Green Valley Ranch has going for it is they’ve got a nine
hole par 3 course which is super fun to play just with friends and especially
with kids. The Golf Club at Bear Dance is another incredible Colorado course. It’s
located in Larkspur and once you play it you’ll understand why it’s been voted
one of the best golf courses in Colorado numerous times.
The views are outstanding and you should definitely add it to your list of places
to play if you never have before. Next up on my list of best public courses in
Colorado is the Ridge at Castle Pines North. I’ve been fortunate enough to get
to play both the Ridge at Castle Pines North as well as Castle Pines Country
Club, host to the former International golf tournament, both courses are
incredible, but getting out at Castle Pines Country Club is going to be pretty
tricky if you’re not a member or at least if you’re not
really good friends with one. But the best alternative is playing at Castle
Pines North, it’s a great course with great views as well make sure you get
out there. Rounding out my list of top Colorado
public golf courses is Arrowhead Golf Club in Littleton. It’s an incredible
course with incredible views and even if you’re not a golfer you might want to
check out Arrowhead if you’re getting married soon because it’s a great site
for a wedding! Now switching over to private golf clubs and the best people
to work with when you’re looking to get golf lessons. First up is the Golf Club
at Pradera. Pradera is an incredible course, but the best thing in my opinion
that it has going for it is Jason Witczak, the Director of Instruction. Jason is an
incredible golf instructor and he brings a super unique background to the table.
Not only is he a former world long-drive competitor he was also a kicker in the
National Football League in the Arena Football League. One of the things I love
about Jason is how well he works with kids, they’ve got a great Junior Academy
at Pradera so if you have kids I would definitely recommend checking out
Pradera and Jason Witczak. Another private course in the metro area
that I love is The Ranch Country Club in Westminster. And the thing that’s also
great about The Ranch other than the course is Ed Oldham is
an incredible golf coach and he’s been doing it for years in Colorado. And he’s
been recognized numerous times as the top coach in Colorado and as one of the
best coaches in the state by Golf Digest. If you’re looking for a country club to
join or somebody to get lessons with up in the north metro area, Ed Oldham and
The Ranch Country Club is where it’s at. Next up in our list of top private golf
courses in the metro area is Meridian Golf Club in Englewood. Meridian is an
awesome course, but it’s also home to the Trent Wearner Golf Academy. Trent is an
incredible coach and you’ll see him on the Golf Channel from time-to-time.
Him and his staff are awesome to work with no matter who you are, make sure to
check them out if you want to get your game in the best shape possible. So I’ve
shared with you some of the top public courses, private courses and instructors
to work with in Colorado, but a round of golf wouldn’t be complete without a trip
to the 19th hole and in this case that means a trip to TopGolf! If you’ve never been to TopGolf or don’t know what it is, the
best way I can describe it is a combination bowling alley-golf course
driving range. It’s a super fun thing to do with friends and there’s currently
one location in Colorado down in Centennial, with another one on the way
later this year in Thornton. It’s a great time out with friends and I definitely
recommend checking it out even if you’re not a fan of golf or have never touched
a club in your life. That brings to a close this special golf edition of
Tuesdays with Taylor, let me know what your favorite places to play are, I’ve only
touched the surface on the top golf courses in Colorado. I know there’s so
many more out there so I’d love to hear from you where you like to play. And once
again my name is Taylor Osieczanek, I’m a Colorado native and a real estate
adviser in the Denver metro area. Thanks as always for watching Tuesdays
with Taylor and as we say at the end of every episode, “Be good out there, and if
you can’t be good, be careful!”
