Best car phone holders | What Car?

Hello and welcome to another What Car? product
test. In this video we’re looking at phone holders. Now, we know in the UK it’s illegal
to use your phone while driving. But with Satnav apps and bluetooth hands free call functions,
many drivers prefer to have their phones close by… The best and safest way to do this while
you’re driving is to use a phone holder! The best car phone holders are secure, portable
and reasonably priced, and these are the best three that you can buy. In third place it’s
the Arkon MAG179: This is a magnetic windscreen and dashboard holder, and using a magnetic strip,
which comes with the product, you can attach it to the back of your phone and then, mount
it to the product simply, without having to fiddle with any extendable arms either side.
But don’t worry, because it doesn’t damage the electrics in any way. Once it’s in place,
it’s steady and secure and there’s plenty of adjustability to find a good position for
yourself. And then, it’s easy to take off again. It will also work through a thin phone
case and if you don’t want it permanently attached to the back of your phone, you can
always just attach it to the outside of the case. In second place: it’s the Olixar inVent.
This air-vent mounted holder is brilliantly simple. It’s small but has extendable arms,
so it will fit any smartphone on the market, even with a case. It’s mounted to the air-vent
via this clasp here, and rather than feeling cheap and brittle like other air vet holders,
this is rubber coated and feels very robust. It doesn’t have a tilt function, but it does
have a 360 degree rotation, which allows portrait or landscape layouts. For a simple, does-what-it-says-on-the-tin
phone holder, this takes some beating. With a stealthy, sleek design, that will be unnoticeable
on your dashboard and pocket portable when you need it to be. And in first place, it’s
the Aukey dashboard and windshield car mount! This is a very simple, high-quality and effective
phone mount and the mount is actually attached to the sucker, which you can put directly
onto the windscreen, or via this pad, onto a dashboard. Whichever you choose, it’s very
simple and there’s no arm, as it’s attached directly to it, so it means it’s rock-steady
when you’re in the car. There’s a huge amount of movement in the phone holder as well, so
even in the trickiest of places you’ll be able to put it in a position that you can
see clearly. When we set out to find the best car phone holder on the market, we wanted
something that was robust, high-quality, cheap and portable. This Aukey car phone holder
ticks all of those boxes and is the best car phone holder that you can buy. To read the

One I can recommend from my own experience is this Mpow Windscreen mount: https://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B016MIBFES/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o09_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1. Just £8.99 on Amazon and has a suction mount for the window and 3M sticker to secure to the dashboard and stop any wobble. Been using it for the past 4 months with no issues.

This is wrong … the sun kill phones.

I use the Kenu Airframe Plus vent-mounted phone holder for about 3 years. I tried many phone holders, but this is the only one which works best for me. I don't like the window mounted or dashboard holders. The phone blocks my view and it looks horrible.
